8th & 10th CANDLE REVERSAL10th Candle Reversal 8th Candle Reversal When a trend goes uncorrected for 7 days, the is a possibility of a reversal on the 8th candle. If the trend goes uncorrected for 9 days, the 10th candle will confirm a Stalled Pattern and probable reversal.

The Hammer, Shooting Star, Hanging Man and Inverted Hammer should have shadows that are twice as long as the true body. Regardless of color, each candle, at its own extreme of a trend, will react very differently with confirmations needed the next day.

These are the two new patterns I revealed during my Candlestick Workshop. To date, I have not found any reference to this pattern which I have found to be extremely reliable. Thus, if there are no claims to this pattern, I have named them: DescriptionThe Short Dusk Line is a highly reliable pattern for sharply reversing an up trend into a down trend. The Long Dawn Line is equally highly reliable for sharply reversing a down trend into an up trend. FeaturesShort Dusk Line: A long bullish candle at the top of an up trend is followed by a gap down the next day. The opening price at the gap is within the upper half of the bullish candle. It then trends down into a long bearish candle that closes below the previous open. Long Dawn Line: A long bearish candle at the bottom of a down trend is followed by a gap up the next day. The opening price at the gap is within the lower half of the bearish candle. It then trends up into a long bearish candle that closes above the previous open. PsychologyA gap in a reverse direction is always an extremely powerful indication of a change in sentiment. The longer the body and the higher the close, the stronger the change in sentiment. Both patterns show a high level of commitment from investors and is often accompanied by higher than average volumes and a wider than average trading range.
